Research Scientist-The position entails all aspects of human monoclonal antibody cloning using a novel hybridoma method, including isolation and culture of human peripheral B-cells, electrofusion to form hybridomas, hybridoma selection, hybridoma screening using ELISA and other immunoassays, hybridoma cloning by limiting dilution, hybridoma scale-up and antibody purification. The Scientist will work closely with others in collaborative projects focused on specific monoclonal antibody targets.
An ideal person will be able to contribute intellectually to the cloning of antibodies and the development of novel technologies, work well with others, and will be able to handle the technical challenges of antibody cloning. Minimum BS degree with at least 2 years hands-on experience in monoclonal antibodies, hybridomas, cell culture, cell cloning, immunoassays, antibody purification and characterization. Experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical background is an important plus.
